Examinations? big deal! (not that I aced everything,though). However, Man is not designed to stay as a child forever (even when we really want to and we'd do everything to get hold of the fountain of youth thingy). So, practically, we are expected to be mature enough to take on responsibilities and all the works (siting Piaget's Stages of development here).
Come to think of it, we've had undergone a lot (and I mean a LOT) of tests (figuratively and literaly speaking) that actually honed us to become the persons we ought to be. Each of us have chosen a career of which we all would want to be successful in. We've dreamt of the possibilities of landing jobs that better suits the courses we've painstakingly went through, we've hurdled the endeavors that tried to break us down (right, i got tears in my eyes now.. haha), we nearly succumb to the near feel of defeat but eventually we've recovered... slowly... painstakingly...
College graduation came and we were caught in a frenzy. That was probably quite an achievement, all right. So then, we had our reviews... (**hmm, i didn't know there's such disease/treatment?!*** sounds familiar? =)) And then... there's the exam.. Nope, not your typical examinations. It's that certain examination you won't even feel like gawking at. It's that one that would probably decide the future that's in store for you... (*cringe* play "jaws" music here)
It nearly drove us to our wits waiting in agony for that certain day... And then it came... at your least expected moment (well, after the series of false alarms and stuff)... Shakingly and tearfully you try to open your source... and then... there it is! you saw it! you've seen it! Mixed emotions! You felt like your heart is swelling, palms sweating, hands shaking... (might have been exaggerating this part-- for the drama) you breathe a sigh of relief... That's it! The hardwork and sacrifice finally paid off.
And you reckon, 'what the heck! Im a Nurse! and a pretty good one at that!' (seriously, i give myself a boost most of the time and a bit of Optimism doesn't hurt anyone).
So now, the next (and probably the second most important) question is: Where do we go from here?
No matter what path we choose or lifestyle we live, the most important thing to remember is that we are happy in what we do. Maintaining a positive outlook does help in achieving the success we are working to get hold of and most importantly to continue to value the respect and dignity that we have for ourselves.

/rlarios

</riz>
rizhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13722975981077871566noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297792591361747610.post-36785806045772577792008-07-25T00:41:00.000-07:002008-07-26T04:10:46.337-07:00LIST OF NEW REGISTERED NURSES (Synergystic Batch)
1. Feliciano Street, Ozamiz City. It stands proud of all its accomplishments having grown from only 4 courses when it started, to more than 55 courses it now offers. It has striven hard to faithfully fulfill its mission to advocate a God-centered existence and offer an education that is committed to the development of the person, who is God-fearing, principled, and socially responsible, service oriented, environmentally concerned and is competent to meet global challenges. It looks forward to climbing new heights, to reinvent a more comprehensive and flexible system that can meet the needs of a dynamic world.

As early as 1998, the Misamis University then established the Quality Standard System (QSS) to raise the standard of training and competence of maritime students and to facilitate their entry into the global maritime industry. From then onwards, QSS was pursued not only in Maritime Education but in all programs as well.

At the onset of the third millennium, the institution continuously responded to the challenge of quality education in various fields of specialization. On April 4, 2000, the Computer Education program was identified by CHED as a Center of Development for Excellence in Information Technology Education. The one-year Seafarer Course with specialization in Deck Rating was opened in school year 1999-2000; while the six-month Care Giver course was started in June 2002. To widen the program for computer technology, BS in Information Technology was opened in school year 2001-2002. Subsequently, the CISCO Networking Academy Program (CNAP), was started in 2002-2003.

The year 2003 for Misamis University was highlighted with CHED granting DEREGULATED STATUS through Resolution No. 393-2003. Benefits include the exemption of the university from the issuance of Special Order, freedom from monitoring and evaluation activities of the CHED, entitlement to the grant subsidies and other financial incentives or assistance from the CHED whenever funds are available; and the privilege to determine and prescribe their curricular programs to achieve global competence.

In 2004, another significant achievement was attained. The University underwent a voluntary Certification for international standards based on ISO 9001:2000 for all academic programs in its pursuit for quality education. All endeavors and needed resources have been mobilized toward this achievement.

On April 28, 2005, DET NORSKE VERITAS (DNV) granted Misamis University a Management System Certificate No. 2373-2005-AQ-SIN-RVA. DNV-The Netherlands, through its DNV Regional Office in Singapore, a certification of Misamis University's conformance to the quality management system as set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
bOgzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01913028890508194946noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297792591361747610.post-5519505645004324812008-07-22T19:41:00.000-07:002008-07-22T19:43:13.278-07:00BON JUNE 2008 NLE RELEASE ADVISORYFor purpose that our Nursing Public and Stakeholders DO NOT SUCCUMB to "irresponsible text messages" please be advised that WITH GOD'S GRACE and based on new schedules from PRC our NLE Results "may be" released within the last week of JULY.
